On March 7, 2019, Wes Mack came to the market! :) I have been a big fan of Wes for about 10 years now. I was only able to meet him three years ago, and at the time, I was reading If You Find This Letter by Hannah Brencher. Hannah began hiding notes with positive messages on them around her city for other people to find. So I started doing that with postcards, and I was going to hide one in the bathroom at the market on the day that Wes was there. He caught me with it before I could hide it and asked if he could keep it. He said, "I hope I'm a step up from the bathroom!"
After that, I thought it would be fun to make Wes a card each time I saw him. So far, Wes has a card with a cat, a cow, Abraham Lincoln and the newest one has a little boy with a guitar. When I gave him the cow one, he told me that he had the other card in his room and that blew my mind. He actually kept it. I still can't quite wrap my head around it, so when I gave him the new card I asked if he still had the other ones. He said they're in an orange folder in his room with a few other things. HE HAS AN ANNETTE FOLDER, GUYS. Haha!
When Wes came in that day, he came right over to me and congratulated me on how well the blog is doing. I told him that he was a big part of its success. He said, "I'm just glad you like what I do and that we get to hang out." Me too. Wes got called away to do something and he said "I'll be back!" Then someone made the comment, "He's gonna come back here and hug you", and he did! Thanks for everything, Wes!
