In 2017 when I started my blog, my goal was to interview as many creative people as possible. Some of them included, Wes Barker, Connor Morand, Camille Porthouse, Blake Berglund and Keith Brown! I was lucky enough to call on them again to celebrate the fact that I reached over 100 000 views on my blog! They were a big part of the reason this happened!
I didn't know going into this how this blog would work or if people would like it. I thought maybe I would get 100 views here and there. Then about six months into it, I had reached over 50 000 views. Someone said "Go for 100 000!" So then my goal was to get there by the end of the year, which happened on December 21, 2017.
I don't know what 2018 holds for this blog, but I know once February comes, I have at least one event every month until July, so there will be lots of photographs coming! :) I am most excited to see Shania Twain from the front row, so I hope photos will be allowed! I might not be able to post something twice a week every week this year, but I am going to do my best. One of my goals now is to reach 200 000 views by the end of the year, so we'll see what happens. I learned that conducting interviews is very hard. So "interviewing as many creative people as possible" meant that I did 16 interviews last year. In 2018, I would either like to reach that number again or exceed it. On that note, this year I would like to hear from more female voices and I would also like to reach out to people I follow on social media that are creative in ways outside of music. I am always reading web comics or creeping people who are amazing photographers or cosplayers. So I would like to look into more things like that and hopefully they will want to participate. For now though, let's give 2017 one last hoorah and celebrate the first year and the first 100 000 views! P.S. Watch for Blake Berglund's moving plant! UPDATE: The River Town Saints sent me a video after my original video was already posted. I wanted them to be included so I re-did my video. :) I currently have 169 529 views!!!! I am excited to keep watching this blog grow!
