After the Show: The East Pointers and Moscow Apartment

On November 4, 2018, I went on an adventure to see The East Pointers, and by adventure, I mean it took an hour to get there with Paratransit and seven minutes to get home in a cab! One of these things is not like the other.... Anyway, I was super excited for this show! I had not seen The East Pointers before, only Tim Chaisson, either as a solo act or with his other band. I was looking through some pictures the other day and realized that I first met Tim in 2012!

When I bought my ticket for this show, they said it was in Row I (as in "i", the very back row.) The reason being "safety" so that I can get out the door quickly in case of a fire, but if there's a fire, I can't use the elevator, so in my mind, it really doesn't matter where I sit. I'll probably burn up anyway. However, when I got there, it was table seating and they let me sit as close as possible! I wasn't expecting this so I didn't bring my "professional camera". It was disappointing, but I managed to get a few nice pictures anyway. The scary thing about table seating is they have candles on every table. I felt very lucky to be sitting where I was and so in order to prevent a fire hazard, I blew out my candle. Then the show started and Pascale from Moscow Apartment told a story of how she helped light the candles for the show-- and she called me out on blowing out the candle! Yikes! When their set was over. two ladies asked if they could sit with me and I said yes. They re-lit the candle and kept it away from me, so all was well. Thanks to Tim, Koady and Jake for coming to say hi before and after the show. :)
